Roz Savage, the Englishwoman who last year rowed solo across the Atlantic, has started her attempt to solo row the Pacific. She set off from Crescent City August 12 for Hawaii, the fist leg of the voyage. We wish her a heartfelt good luck. She and her team are blogging her voyage.
Aug 12: This morning at 6:49 Brocade and I left the guest dock in the harbour of Crescent City, and set out for Hawaii. A small crowd had gathered to see me off, and there was a smattering of applause as I took my first strokes.
