Over the weekend I ripped temporary gunwhales for the Ulua (and got some practice scarfing) and installed spreader sticks to keep the hull in the proper shape while glassing the inside and fitting the decks and other bits. We also squeezed in a backyard project, making a tree-perch per Charlotte’s concept and specifications.

The Ulua is looking good!
Cheers,
Peter
the boats looking cool=] and luv the pic of char..
Outstanding, David! Very clean lines on that hull.
I’ve just finished a quarter rudder so my son can steer. He cannot handle the 13 ft. steering oar, and barely can I in 20 knot winds. I’m just gluing up a higher volume tacking ama. The initial ama I built based upon 24′ Wa’apa cannot handle traffic out on the trampoline very well, and I MUST have my trampoline. The old ama will become a safety ama.
