Temerity had her first sail with her new crew. It went pretty well, though there was a lot of fumbling and getting used to what-goes where.
Arty shot of David from the companionway.
Under way south of Bay Bridge. Need a bit more cunningham there!
Char was great as Pit Girl.
Coming home we were overtaken by this monster freighter. Char: “Is that where all the plastic and lead toys come from?”
Whooohooohoooo, Congratulations? I asked you this on SA but when did you leave RYC on Saturday? We were drifting outside the harbor wall from around 10:40 to around 12:45 before we bailed on the race and headed over the Angel Island.
Hi Edward,
Sorry I missed the question on SA. I left RYC about 11:30 Saturday, so you may well have seen me. I was pretty busy dodging Moore 24s for a while there, it was pretty crowded. We went sailing as a family the next day, Sunday.
Cheers
David
Hot damn, after the second postponement, my start was at 11:40, warning signal at 11:35. I was the guy drifting around all the other drifting boats watching the moores get towed out! I probably saw you in between angry glares at the race committee!
Congratulations on your new boat!
Looks great!
Peter
